Storytelling connects cultures, unveils our humanity, and offers us infinite ways to perceive and imagine our reality. Narratives invite us to imagine and become participants in a world abundant with opportunities.

Sinister events upend a retired schoolteacher's life when she returns to her quiet hometown.

Hi, I’m Shanda. Thanks for being here!
Griot [grē-ō] is one of my favorite words. It’s a West African term used to describe performers who vocally support their tribal histories and genealogies; they’re storytellers.
Growing up, I deeply appreciated the power of words and the transformative nature of storytelling. Inspired by my experiences and the countless narratives I’ve encountered, I recognized the need for a publishing platform to give marginalized voices the space they deserve.
With that in mind, InfiniteGrowth Publishing's (IGP) journey began out of an awareness of stifled voices, unacknowledged concerns, and familial stories and histories buried and forgotten in cemeteries.
To your success!
-Shanda

We edit most fiction genres. We are currently not editing poetry. We do not edit academically-related literature that requires in-depth factchecking. IGP does not edit any medically-related literature. IGP will not edit manuscripts leaning towards propaganda or erotica.
On average, the typical editing timeframe is two and half months. However, the timeframe is dependent upon the scope of the project. Timeframes are established after the manuscript is reviewed and is based on the needs of the work. Timeframes are discussed with you before work begins.
Yes, your IP is protected when you submit to IGP. We take all reasonable steps to safeguard your IP. Before the editing process begins, both parties review and sign an Editing Services Agreement.
We encourage you to schedule time with us to briefly discuss your storyline, direction, and goals. If you would like to proceed, then you will complete a questionnaire that delves into the particulars of your manuscript (synopsis, story blurb, notes, outline, and character lists). This information helps us to understand how the story aligns with your goals. The questionnaire also benefits us in determining character development and your writing style.
The short answer is yes; IGP does publish books. However, based on current publishing trends within our organization, we find more authors requesting story editing solutions in lieu of book publishing needs. With this in mind, we focus on offering editing plans that align with your editorial needs.
In addition to editing services, IGP also collaborates with authors to publish their works. This is a longer, more involved process that starts with a conversation. We encourage you to schedule a consultation to discuss your goals and needs.
If you would like to proceed, we will require you to complete a book proposal. The proposal dives into your understanding of your story, manuscript overview, your targeted readership, your competition, and other vital aspects of your work. The proposal will help us to understand your work and its processes as you understand them. The proposal will also require you to submit sample chapters of your manuscript.
Editorial needs. Yes, IGP will work with your existing team. We collaborate with existing teams to customize and help create the best outcome for our authors.
Publishing needs. IGP will work with existing teams; however, this process varies from project-to-project. Acceptance to work with existing teams is assessed individually. If you are interested in IGP working with your team, we encourage you to schedule a consultation with us to discuss your unique situation.
IGP is a hybrid publisher. We adhere to an author-subsidized business model as defined by Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA). We pride ourselves in being author-centric; we believe in partnering with authors to produce and sell professional-quality books. IGP does not and will not accept all submitted works.
IGP is not a traditional publisher. Traditional publishing companies have a long history in regulating the book publishing process from manuscript acceptance to book distribution, as well as advances and royalties to authors. They assume the financial risks, select, and publish on an exclusive basis, with a limited number of authors getting published.
IGP is not a vanity press. Although vanity presses (also known as book mills, vanity publishers, or subsidy publishers) are not created equal, they are known for contracting with anyone wiling to pay to get a book published. These presses charge authors an exorbitant upfront cost, which severely compromises the return on investment. Historically, these presses are known to misrepresent themselves, offer terrible contracts, produce low quality books, and put authors in compromising situations by not honoring contractual obligations.
